Risk Management is hosting four (1 hour and 30 minute) sessions of Distracted Driving safety training in July.

According to National Safety Council data, everyday at least nine Americans die and another 100 are injured in distracted driving vehicle crashes.  Among the distractions cell phones, dashboard touchscreens, voice commands and other in-vehicle technologies pose a threat to our safety. 


This training is provided for any City employee involved in a motor vehicle accident in the last year.  In addition, every department is encouraged to send at least two other employees who drive during the course and scope of business, and who have not already attended this training throughout this fiscal year.
